Exton is a small, quiet village situated 6 miles from Exeter on the east side of the estuary of the river Exe, just off the A376 between Lympstone and Topsham. It offers stunning views across the estuary towards Dawlish and Starcross. The Exe Estuary Trail goes through the village making it a popular stopping off point for cyclists, bird watchers and walkers and the train station offers an hourly rail service to Exmouth / Exeter. The village has a filling station with convenience store, pub/restaurant, a church and a village hall. The nearest shops and amenities are located in Topsham and Lympstone.
Exton has a diverse range of properties of differing ages, sizes and styles including 19th century terraced cottages, Edwardian houses, 20th & 21st century houses, modern bungalows and contemporary family homes, some of which offer lovely views across the river. There are also a couple of B&B’s in the village.
