Exton is a small, quiet village situated 6 miles from Exeter on the east side of the estuary of the river Exe, just off the A376 between Lympstone and Topsham. It offers stunning views across the estuary towards Dawlish and Starcross. The Exe Estuary Trail goes through the village making it a popular stopping off point for cyclists, bird watchers and walkers and the train station offers an hourly rail service to Exmouth / Exeter. The village has a filling station with convenience store, pub/restaurant, a church and a village hall. The nearest shops and amenities are located in Topsham and Lympstone.

    • St Andrews Church

      St Andrews Church originated in 1864 in a rented cob and thatched barn but this building was swept away in the severe floods in 1960. The village raised funds to build a new church which was completed in 1963
